(54) METHOD OF CONCENTRATING GOLD-CONTAINING SANDS AND WASHER WITH NUGGET CATCHER FOR METHOD EMBODIMENT

FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, methods of concentration of gold-containing sands with the help of washer. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of material to hydraulic washing table, disintegration of material, double classification, first into fraction of plus 140 and minus 140 mm class, then fractions of plus 30 and minus 30 mm class with withdrawal of fraction of plus 140 mm class to dump, fractions of plus 30 and minus 140 mm class are fed to sluice box of nugget catcher, and fractions of minus 30 class, to main sluice box through receiving bath. In so doing, classification into fractions of plus 140 and minus 140 mm class is effected on receiving bin of hydraulic washing table, and classification into fractions of plus 30 and minus 30 mm class is carried out in bath of hydraulic washing table. Washed away gold is finally caught by hydraulic catchers installed in tail part of main sluice box. Washer with nugget catcher has hydraulic washing table, sluice box of nugget catcher, main sluice box, hydraulic catcher. Hydraulic washing table is additionally provided with classification screens located above receiving bin of hydraulic washing table, bath of hydraulic washing table with screens having opening 30 mm of diameter, hydraulic washing table trough made in the form of trapezoidal section narrowing upward and covered with screens having openings 30 and 40 mm in diameter and having under screens, plane inclined at an angle of 19 deg and connected with sluice box of nugget catcher, receiving bath located in under-screen space of hydraulic washing table bath and connected with main sluice box.
