FIELD: powder metallurgy, specifically, production of finely dispersed powders of metals of platinum group widely used in electronics, electrical engineering and some other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: given process can be employed in product refining. In correspondence with invention aqueous solutions of metal compounds of platinum group ( salts, complexes of these metals with inorganic or organic ligatures ) are irradiated with electron beam with dose of 10.0-30.0 Mrad. EFFECT: acceleration of process and simplification of technology, process is innocuous to environment. 1 tbl
